So, what is everyday Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
AI is Already in Your Life—Here’s Why That’s a Good Thing
If you think AI is some futuristic robot coming to take jobs, think again. The truth is, you’re already using AI every single day—without even realizing it!
Ever noticed how Netflix seems to magically know what show you’ll love next? That’s AI. When Amazon suggests products or Google Maps finds the fastest route home? AI is working behind the scenes. Even your email spam filter is powered by AI, keeping junk mail out of your inbox.
AI Isn’t Here to Replace You—It’s Here to Assist You
A lot of people worry that AI will take over jobs, but the reality is different. AI is a tool—just like a calculator or a search engine. It handles repetitive tasks, analyzes data, and generates insights, allowing you to focus on creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
Think about it: AI can help draft an email, summarize a report, or even create a presentation—but it still needs your input, critical thinking, and expertise. The people who learn to use AI will have an edge, not be left behind.

Leveraging AI to improve your workflow is one of its biggest advantages. Every day, we search for information on our computers or the internet—but what if AI could make those searches even smarter? Watch this short video comparing a Google search versus a Microsoft AI Copilot search. Any guesses on which delivers better results? 🚀
Now, let’s show you just how easy it is to use Microsoft Copilot to enhance your search results. Follow the steps below to see how AI can refine your searches and boost your productivity effortlessly.
1: Click Windows "Start" (Skip to step 3 if you are already on Microsoft Teams)

2: Type "Teams" in Windows Search area, then click on the Microsoft Teams app

3: In the Teams app, click on "Copilot" on left

4: Let's interact with Copilot. Type: "I'm a finance professional with limited artificial intelligence experience, in bullet format, tell what is AI and how can I use it." Hit "Enter" button on keyboard or click the arrow on the bottom right.

5: Copilot generates responses in your requested format, but results may vary as it pulls from the latest information. Your answer may not exactly match the example below. Note the red box message: 'AI-generated content may be incorrect.' Always review and validate Copilot's answers.

6: To validate Copilot's answers, ask for sources by typing: "Provide the resources for the answer."
Copilot pulls information from two sources:
From your company – Documents you've created.
From the web – External sources.
Click on any numbered reference (highlighted by red arrows) to access the original material and verify the information.

7: Ask Copilot anything you're curious about and explore new topics. Enjoy the experience!
